When the fight starts, the Scourge will be grounded. This is your best chance to lay down some damage. It’s got two main attacks here. The first is a Talon Sweep – quick, wide, and aimed right in front of it. Melee players can dodge straight through or back off just before it swings. The other is Searing Breath, a big cone of fire that’s easy to spot coming when it pulls its head back. That’s your cue to move to its side or behind it. You can get a few solid hits in during this window, but don’t hang around too long – it recovers fast. After you’ve taken a chunk off its health, it’ll take to the air. This is where patience comes in. You can’t really hit it while it’s flying, so focus on staying alive. Watch for the Fireball Barrage – the impact zones are marked on the ground, so keep moving and avoid the circles. The nastier move is the Sky-Slam. You’ll hear a sharp roar before it dives down, hitting a wide area for massive damage. Save your dodge roll for this moment; mistiming it can end the run right there. Once it’s done with a few aerial patterns, it’ll land again, giving you another shot at dealing damage. At around half health, it adds a new problem – Lightning Storm. The arena edges light up and become deadly, cutting down your safe space. This makes avoiding the Fireball Barrage and Sky-Slam way harder. You’ll need to be sharper with movement and positioning here. Fire and lightning resistance help a lot, and having a Quicksilver Flask for extra speed is almost essential. The fight becomes a tight, fast-paced rhythm, and it’s all about staying in step, dodging the big hits, and waiting for those short openings. Once you’ve learned its patterns and kept your cool, bringing it down is a seriously satisfying win – especially if you’ve stocked up with path of exile 2 currency beforehand. |
