The movie was based on the bestselling novel by Lauren Weisberger, who previously worked as an assistant to Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine. Lauren Weisberger did, however, release a sequel novel titled "The Devil Wears Prada" in 2003 but an official sequel film or even a movie titled "The Devil Wears Prada 2" hasn't been made. There have been rumors and speculations about a potential sequel or spin-off, but none of them have been officially confirmed.
